Kenneth J. Schwenn

Kenneth J. Schwenn, 65 of Tully, NY, died peacefully after a long illness on October 25, 2021.

He was born May 22, 1956 in Syracuse. Ken was a Vietnam Era Veteran who served two terms in Germany as a Specialist Four Mechanic Supervisor before he was honorably discharged. After the military he worked at Adam Baum Egg Farm, was head mechanic in the Tully School District and finished his career as a Mechanic at Penn Detroit in Syracuse.

He was an avid NASCAR fan who followed Dale Earnhardt. Ken competed in Redneck racing himself taking home the 1st place trophy in 2000. He liked bonfires and knew how to put on one heck of a fireworks show every 4th of July for family and friends on Tully Lake.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Bacon, a step daughter, Sheena Bryan, two brothers; Douglas (Bonnie) Schwenn, Richard (Melissa) Schwenn and three sisters; Patty (Doty) Willis, Mary (Michael) Kriever and Lynn (Dean) Johnson as well as, 24 nieces and nephews, 32 great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great nieces & nephew

He is predeceased by his Father, Neal J. Schwenn, Step-Father, Francis Bacon, Step-Mother, Donna Shephard Schwenn, four sisters; Cynthia J. Keelhar, Pamela J. Davis, Susan J. Schwenn and Nancy J. Mack

A memorial Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, November 2 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland. Burial with military honors will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer.
